Rural Track Program – Alamosa, CO
The residents first year of training will take place in Pueblo Colorado, as part of a 40 year old family medicine training program with strengths in procedural training, to include OB, C-sections and endoscopy. Then years 2 and 3 of training will be in Alamosa, Colorado at San Luis Valley Medical Center where you will continue to have strong inpatient, OB, and outpatient training. A longitudinal curriculum with a chance to work with the pediatricians, OB/GYN, orthopedic surgeons, general surgeons, ENT surgeon, and ER physicians in Alamosa will help strengthen your ability to be a full scope rural family medicine physician upon graduation.

Additional Information
Housing stipend all 3 years, links to many critical access hospitals for rotations, like to the Chamber of Commerce in Alamosa. Great Sand Dunes National Park is nearby, Wolf Creek is the closest ski area – Less than 1 hour. Many outdoor sporting opportunities, such as hiking, kayaking and biking.
