Rural Track Program – Hood River, OR
We are a fully accredited ACGME 2-2-2 Rural Training Program located in beautiful Hood River, Oregon. Our program is designed to train full spectrum family physicians who are called to care for the needs of rural and underserved populations in the Northwest.
Rural communities depend on clinicians with a broad scope of skills to care for them and their families. Modern rural family physicians still require a breadth of training, experiences and mentorship that may not be available or easily supported in urban communities. Our rural residency program incorporates the rigors of academic-based training with real-world experience in a small community away from urban academic centers. Our hope is that program graduates end up practicing in small, rural communities and have the skills to care for a diverse patient population, maintain work-life balance and enjoy life-long learning.
