Rural Track Program – Wray, CO
The faculty of the Wray RTT believe that the best training to become a rural family physician is to BE a rural family physician. Following a robust 15 months education with NCFM in Greeley, CO, the resident physician moves to Wray for the final 21 months of training. While in this frontier community of 2,300, the resident will be thoroughly equipped to succeed as a highly skilled broad-spectrum rural family physician.
Unique Features
Final 21 months entirely longitudinal in Wray, CO. Extensive ER & clinic experience. Graduates average 80 C-sections as primary surgeon, 200 colonoscopies, 100 EGD’s. All Wray graduates since 1994 have chosen rural post-residency practice. In Wray, 4 family medicine faculty, 1 general surgeon, many visiting specialists; all devoted to teaching. One Wray resident physician per class.
