Rural Residency Program – Kalispell, MT

The Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana (FMRWM) is a 3-year family medicine program sponsored by The University of Montana and affiliated with the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Network. We strive to train clinically competent and compassionate physicians.

Additional Information

This program, begun in 2013, offers a wide variety of rural rotations and training experiences. The rural communities are organized to provide housing during rural rotations. The residency has been awarded 3 HRSA grants to increase it’s capacity to train physicians in rural communities with the most recent being a Rural Residency Planning and Development grant starting July 2024.
