Developing Rural Residency Program – Celina, OH
The WRHI serves a twelve county region of West Central Ohio with the goal of increasing the number of health professional students pursuing practice in rural communities by creating an interprofesssional, longitudinal education opportunity in a rural setting and developing a rural residency program in Family Medicine.
- Community based medical school with a rural campus
- Developing long, interprofessional curriculum for medicine, nursing, and pharmacy
- Pursuing rural residency track in nearby Community
- Exploring possibility of expanding medical school to a regional campus in a rural location
Medical, pharmacy and nursing students are eligible to stay in townhomes located on the Lake Campus. Each student receives a private bedroom and shares a bathroom, kitchen and living room.
