Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is a 410 bed  primary training location encompassing two hospitals and numerous healthcare service facilities In rural southeast Missouri. Offering a range of medical services and procedures to patients in the region, including cancer treatment centers and physical therapy and rehabilitation facilities, this uncontested Internal Medicine residency in rural southeast Missouri, treats patients from multiple sprawling counties in the area, providing physicians in training with the opportunity to serve and heal patients from diverse backgrounds and pathologies.

Residents will learn from direct patient care, morning report, bedside rounds and a robust didactic schedule that complements the rotations. Additionally, residents will have an active role with quality improvement committees and patient safety initiatives. The internal medicine residency program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and approved for 18 positions, six (6) residents each PGY. We accept allopathic, osteopathic, and international applicants through ERAS. Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center does not sponsor visas or accept observerships.
